The St. Simons Antique Show began in 1980 as an event to showcase antiques and collectibles of area antique dealers. Since then, it has grown to encompass vendors from all over the Southeast United States.
The average number of vendors is between 35 and 45 on any given show date. The show focuses on quality, yet affordable antique and collectible items.
The promoter, Joe Burkhart, has been in the antiques restoration business since 1971, and felt that this area of Southeast Georgia needed representation in the antiques and collectibles sales field. When the opportunity to arose to create an event, the result was this show.
